Our Stock and Custom Wood Maps are made to order and available locally in the Lakes Region of Southern Maine. Visit our partners here. We can craft a map for you that gives you the reins to your design ideas. Offered in 12 x 16 inches, 16 x 24 inches and 24 x 36 inches, as well as custom sized, we are able to create the display that makes the most sense for your space. A typical map for us is focused upon a lake or pond of your choice and carved from Maple plywood. This medium gives the map stability with rich maple tones for the surface. The lake's basin is removed with as much detail as possible and filled with a rich colored epoxy resin and then overlaid with laser inscribed roads and area markers. We offer our standard, generic, or customized locations and Lake facts on the map surface that can be inlaid or simply laser inscribed with your custom text. It is topped with a beautiful, laser cut Cherry compass rose that pops from the surface, enhancing the depth and luminosity of the map. It is then encased in our own hand-crafted, Eastern white pine weathered wood frame. We install the stainless steel wire and hanging hardware complete with felt standoffs that enable airflow behind the map, protect your walls, and the piece. The rustic and historic feel of these maps make them unique to the industry and gives your home or camp that perfect touch of flair. They also make great gifts for that hard to shop for person. Custom Designs with Free Shipping - add $50.00 design fee
A custom design fee will apply to any product that contains over 50 characters of custom text, any custom art work or inlays and custom built frames. Highly custom maps and all furniture will be handled by a non- refundable deposit, shop drawing(s), price quote, and agreed upon terms prior to scheduling for production.
Through a partnership with local children's camps, we offer maps that compliment children's time at camp with designs that give perspective and attention to the camp. We work with camps that offer scholarships for kids that would not be able to attend camp otherwise. Through sales incentives and donations from our sales base, we offer children the freedom to make memories and learn skills that grant them the ability to grow respectively in their home and community's. It is our blessing to have the opportunity to work with our local community in an outreach that pays dividends all over the world!
